Sofia. A boy (14) lost two
fingers when a party firecracker exploded in his hands. The incident occurred
when a group of boys were throwing firecrackers in a schoolyard in the capital's

Sofia. The Gay pride march came under attack from
nationalists and skinheads who were seen booing the small procession and
throwing rocks, firecrackers and at least one petrol bomb at it. 28.6.2008

One policeman was injured when a supporter of the political party Attack threw a
firecracker in his face at the intersection of the San Stefano and Marin Drinov
streets.

A woman (24) was treated at the Pirogov emergency hospital after being injured
in the face by a ricocheting firework when she went out on to her apartment

Sofia. It took firefighters about two hours to extinguish fires, which started following an explosion in a fireworks storage facility at 123 Iliensko shosse in Iliyantsi quarter at about 7:45am. More than 120 tonnes of pyrotechnics and fireworks have been destroyed, police reported. The ignition released massive amounts of sulphur nitrogen and ammonia in the air causing nearby neighbourhoods of Benkovski, Kubratovo and Orlandovtsi choke with smoke. 30.9.2006

Sofia. Bei Ausschreitungen zwischen Anhängern zweier Fussballclubs warf ein
Fussball-Fan einen Feuerwerkskörper in ein Cafe. Der Feuerwerkskörper
explodierte auf dem Rücken eines Mannes; dieser starb.
Am gleichen Abend wurden in der Innenstadt zwei Teenager von einem Feuerwerkskörper verletzt, der einen vorbeifahrenden Bus traf.
Am Tag vorher hatten Polizisten unter den Sitzen des Armia-Stadions 500 selbst
gebastelte Feuerwerkskörper gefunden. Dennoch wurden während der Partie rund 30
Rauchbomben abgefeuert. Dabei wurden die Anzeigentafel und mehrere hundert Plastiksitze im Stadion zerstört.
